MediaBored - Multimedia Billboard Website
MediaBored is a new way to advertise multimedia and websites online: a digital billboard made up of one million blocks. Anyone passionate about their brand, products, services, or online presence can claim a spot and fill it with images, videos, audio, documents, or a website link. Each spot builds visibility and a valuable backlink, giving businesses and creators an affordable way to stand out and drive traffic in an always-connected, social-first online world.
The Challenge
MediaBored is an InterVolt Development passion project that has been in the works for almost a decade. The idea was ambitious: a one-million-block billboard where every spot could hold any kind of media and link back to its owner. It required a purchasing system, media uploads, secure payments, and a grid that stays fast and easy to explore as it fills up.
Solution & Strategy
We created the MediaBored logo and brand, then designed a bold, dark interface with a bright blue accent that lets the colourful media blocks take centre stage. We built the platform from the ground up in PHP and MySQL, with a custom purchasing system and payment gateway so users can sign up, claim their spot, and upload images, videos, audio, documents, or websites. Filters for each media type, category and keyword search, and a featured strip across the top make the billboard fun to explore. MediaBored is now live in beta, with AI-powered features planned for future updates.
