Living Word Lounge is a come-as-you-are church in Welland, Ontario, where people gather to encounter Jesus through relevant Bible teaching, live contemporary music, and honest conversation, all in a relaxed café lounge setting. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have walked with Jesus for years, there’s a seat at the table for you.
The Challenge
Living Word Lounge’s old website had been “under construction” for years, leaving newcomers with no clear way to learn about the church or find out what was happening each week. The team wanted full control of their own site, so they could update events, programs, news, photos, and giving options themselves without waiting on a developer.
Solution & Strategy
We designed a warm, inviting look with a dark café-lounge palette, golden accents, and elegant serif headings that capture the feel of the room itself. Using AI-assisted development with Lovable, we built the site in React.js and refined it by hand, with a secure Supabase database behind it. A custom team dashboard lets staff log in and update the weekly schedule, events, news, photo gallery, and donation options in minutes. Clear sections for weekly gatherings, community programs, volunteering, and online giving help newcomers feel welcome before they ever walk through the door.
