3D Bolt Buttons Concept
A transparent 3D bolt button concept, shown from side and top views to reveal its layered inner structure. InterVolt designed and rendered this piece in Swift3D as a portfolio project to showcase its 3D modelling and lighting skills.
The Challenge
Buttons are usually flat and forgettable, but a standout interface element can make a product feel premium the moment someone sees it. Our brief was to design a 3D button that feels tactile and high-tech, shows off its inner mechanics, and still reads clearly from more than one angle.
Solution & Strategy
We built a cylindrical bolt-style form in Swift3D, then used see-through materials so the inner rings and mechanics stay visible through the outer shell. Careful lighting and reflections give it a polished, glass-like depth, and side and top views show how the design holds up from every angle.
